Job Title: Worship Pastor

REPORTING TO: SENIOR PASTOR

1. BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
The Worship Pastor is to provide the leadership in the Music Ministry, to plan, organize, develop and steward the resources of the Ministry to support the Senior Pastor in worship services of the church under the IBC vision, which is:

2. DISTINCTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading worship services to ensure that the music and worship is well co-ordinated with the Message preached and to provide opportunities for worshippers, who are of diverse cultures and languages, to be involved in coming together as one Body in Christ, to experience the presence of God. In particular, he is responsible to the Senior Pastor for:
     2.1 Leading congregational worship and using music to help and inspire our worship.
     2.2 Recruiting, selecting and encouraging talents to serve in the Music Ministry.
     2.3 Overseeing the various choirs and orchestra.
     2.4 Ministry Administration
           Developing ministry plans and programs and planning for resources to support the IBC vision and theme for the year.
           Developing and training Music Ministry staff.
           Planning and stewarding the Music Ministry budget annually.

3. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
     3.1 Representing IBC in music and worship meeting/conferences.
     3.2 Coordinating with other IBC ministries in Worship.
     3.3 Leading the Music Ministry in IBC mission trips and to use music for evangelism, as opportunities present.

4. QUALIFICATIONS
     4.1 Seminary Degree in Music will be an advantage
     4.2 Minimum of 5 years in leading worship in a multi-cultural church
     4.3 Ability to work independently with a pastoral heart
     4.4 Ability to teach and develop others

Job Title: Christian Education Pastor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting directly to the Senior Pastor, the Christian Education (CE) Pastor must be called to IBC.  This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of the relevant Christian Education strategy and well-being of the children, youth, young adults and their families in keeping with the vision and mission of IBC.

The CE Pastor will also have direct responsibility for the development and implementation of the relevant teaching pedagogy to ensure that all IBC teaching ministry workers will be equipped and trained effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (minimum):

  • - Master’s Degree in Religious Education or Masters of Divinity or its equivalent.
  • - 5 years of experience in both pastoral and oversight of the Christian Education ministries in a multi-national and multi-cultural Christian church or Christian organization.
  • - Possesses relevant competency, experience and an in-depth understanding Biblical and Baptist church doctrine including the various human development stages of learner and classroom disciplines.
  • - Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • - Effective interpersonal and effective communication skills.

 

Remuneration range: Basic monthly salary of SGD6,000 to SGD10,000

Job Title: Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • - Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
  • - Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
  • - Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
  • - Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • - Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
  • - Assist with financial and tax audits
  • - Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
  • - Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
  • - Other projects as assigned

 

REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • - Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
  • - Strong analytical and accounting skills.
  • - Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or similar programs.
  • - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting. QuickBook preferred.
  • - Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
  • - The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the Company.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • - Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification
  • - Four to six years progressively responsible experience in the accounting
  • - Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
