IBC Fam Run 2022 (Registration details)

WHAT IS IBC FAM RUN?


IBC FAM RUN is a fun run with 3k and 5k routes, open to the whole IBC Family! It will be taking place on November 26, Saturday, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at The Meadow, Gardens By The Bay. Through this event, we hope to foster a spirit of encouragement, and a culture of building each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11).


There will be various activities before and after the run, food, and of course, fun prizes for our top 3 finishers in each category!


WHO CAN JOIN?


This event is open to all IBCers—families, friends that are like family, and just our IBC family as a whole! You can sign up with your kids/parents/brothers/sisters, but we also encourage you to register with your friends/Sunday School classmate/someone you just met at IBC! Paw friends are welcome, too (no registration needed).


Group Category

Each team must have a minimum of 3 members, and a maximum of 8 (including the Team Captain), we recommend satisfying at least 2 of the following 5 group criteria, to ensure that your group is all-inclusive!


  • inter-generational: at least 1 member should be below 18, and at least 1 member should be above 40
  • multi-racial: at least 3 races should be represented in the group
  • inter-ministry: at least 3 IBC ministries should be represented, separately, by 3 different members
  • mixed-gender: at least 1 member should be from the opposite gender
  • invitational: at least 1 member is an invited guest (ie, NOT attending IBC)

Individual Category

While signing up in groups is highly recommended, this year, we are also opening up the individual category to IBCers aged 13 and above! This is ideal for:

  • those who are new to IBC: If you're just starting to get to know our IBC Family, then sign up as an individual participant to meet the members of our community on the event day itself! And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near (Hebrews 10:25).
  • those who run competitively: If running with a pack isn't your kind of run, then sign up as an individual participant. The earlier you finish, the more time you'll have for fellowshipping and enjoying our food stalls!


This category will also have 3k and 5k routes.

HOW DO WE REGISTER?


Group Category

All registrations are done online, and in teams of 3-8. The Team Captain will be the one to register for his/her entire team. Please note: registrations will only be confirmed upon payment. More details below.


Before you proceed, make sure that you have all this information ready:


  • Team Name: Your team name should be a combination of one color and an animal (eg, Pink Dolphins). Think of the most unique one so you don't risk having the same name as another team!
  • Transportation Preference: Please let us know if you think anyone from your group needs a ride from IBC and back.
  • T-shirt sizes: Gather all your members' sizes. Due to logistical limitations, we will not be able to entertain an exchange of sizes. Please refer to the chart below.


Individual Category

Similar to the above, all registrations are done online. Also, refer to the chart below for your t-shirt size. Please note: registrations will only be confirmed upon payment. More details below.

HOW DO WE PAY?


Registration fees ($15 per person) should be settled per team (for the Group Category) and per person (for the Individual Category). This covers the cost of your race pack (more info coming soon), and free refreshments from our food and drinks stalls!


For GROUPS: Upon filling out all your details online, your Team Captain will receive a confirmation email with detailed instructions.


For INDIVIDUALS: You will also receive a confirmation email with detailed instructions upon filling out the registration form.


All payments shall be settled via PayNow or bank transfer.


Please note that due to logistical requirements which need to be confirmed with third-party vendors, all registration fees are non-refundable, but transferable.

WILL FOOD BE PROVIDED?


There will be a few food stalls, but we will not be serving a full meal. We'd like for you to be able to eat what you want. Think of this as a very large IBC family picnic! Get ready with your mats, picnic baskets and family games—and most importantly, remember to share and interact with others!
