HOPE Conference: A Journey of Spiritual Renewal

November 22-23 | Registration is ongoing until November 10th

Conference Overview

What is HOPE Conference?

HOPE Conference is an event organized and hosted by IBC that encourages all towards a journey of spiritual renewal. As ambassadors of Hope, we will rediscover the wonder of the spirit of God, and rely on His power in living out and sharing hope in the different areas of our lives.

What can I expect from HOPE Conference?

In our journey of spiritual renewal and rediscovery, we will be hearing from our special guest speakers in plenary sessions, and learn from each other in relevant workshops. These sessions will be tailored to a wide variety of interests and needs in line with growing in hope and bringing it to our family, workplace, and opportunities of ministry and connection both locally and overseas.

Who are the Conference Speakers?

We'll have three conference speakers this year! Margaret and Lucy will be speaking to the women, and Leif will be with the men.

Host of the popular podcast, The Joycast, Margaret Feinberg is a popular Bible teacher and speaker at churches and leading conferences, and creator of best-selling coloring and creative books for grown ups. Her books, including Scouting the Divine, Fight Back With Joy, Taste and See: Discovering God Among Butchers, Bakers and Fresh Food Makers, and their corresponding Bible studies, have sold over one million copies and received critical acclaim and extensive national media coverage from CNN, the Associated Press, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and more.

She was recently named one of 50 women most shaping culture and the church today by Christianity Today. Margaret lives in Utah with her husband, Leif, and their superpup, Zoom. She believes some of the best days are spent around a table with amazing food and friends.

Lucy Lim’s life spun out of control in 2017, when she was diagnosed with cancer a second time. This time, it had metastasized. Yet, she refused to let cancer take over her life. Her faith in God stems from a simple belief in the sovereignty of God and her surrender to His perfect will. She continues to live with hope, joy, and purpose.

She loves sharing her adventures with the Lord with anyone who has time to listen. She enjoys studying and teaching the Bible as well as dining with family and friends - especially if she isn’t the one cooking!

The author of Joy Beyond Cancer and When It's Beyond Me , Lucy continues to live out and share her story of enduring faith.

Leif Oines is a Relationship Catalyst and Community Builder. He is a fourth generation Southeast Alaska guy. Born into a Christian family and the oldest of three brothers, he has spent the majority of his life in and around the church—when he isn’t swimming, reading, or smoking meat. He loves how God uniquely shapes individuals and individual church communities to demonstrate the love of God and love of others in their unique spheres of influence.

Married to Margaret for over two decades, they have explored what being good neighbors means from Alaska, Colorado, and Utah with many smaller in state moves in each state. While two of their nicknames are anchor and orbit - they love hosting meals, being in the water, and spending time with their 4lb teacup poodle Zoom.

Leif is excited to share how God has used relationships with others to impact his journey with Jesus - both personally and professionally.
